Mid-Coast Speech and Hearing Center (MCSHC), which has provided audiological, speech and language services to the area for 28-years, dispenses, evaluates, fits, repairs and modifies hearing aids.

"We are doing our best to bridge the gap between what is recommended and what works in the field of audiology, but more importantly, take each patient’s needs into account," said Craig Daunheimer, audiologist and licensed healthcare professional. "For instance, there are many personal listening devices available today that can help someone improve their social and work life. And now we can help to guide a person with the selection, fitting and maintenance of the device they choose."

Also, Videonystagmography (VNG), a technique used to clinically evaluate dizziness, vertigo, unsteadiness or other problems with balance and coordination has recently been made available at the Center.
