What is pulmonary Rehabilitation?
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program, of education, exercise training and peer support to help patients with chronic lung disease control symptoms, become more active and have a better quality of life.

- Increase your ability to do everyday activities
- Increase your tolerance for exercise to help you feel better and become stronger

- Decrease your need for emergency room and doctor visits
Program requirements
- Physician referral required
- COPD or any other chronic lung condition
- Smoke free
- You must be motivated and committed
- Your cardiac function should be stable
- You should have the ability to understand and retain information

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program: A program for patients with lung disease at Pen Bay Medical Center's Betty Fisher Rehabilitation Center.
- Program Team
Our team is multi-disciplinary and consists of respiratory therapists, nurses, exercise specialists, dieticians, occupational and physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
