The Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center provides both nutritional counseling for a wide variety of medical conditions and diabetes education in individual or group settings. The Center is recognized by the American Diabetes Association as offering high-quality education services to the patients it serves. The Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center is located at 731 Commercial Street, on Route 1 in the Rockport Professional Building, just north of Pen Bay Medical Center.

Selective education is available on these types. Our comprehensive program includes an individual consultation with a diabetes and diabetes nurse educator and a series of education classes to provide additional information and support.
Registered dieticians meet with you to assess your diet and create a plan for your nutritional health.

Diabetes education is covered under most insurance plans; some also reimburse for other nutritional counseling. Check with your insurer about your policy. If you do not have insurance, please call 596-8267 to apply for financial assistance.
