You will have your baby at one of the Birthing Center’s two homey, comfortable birthing rooms. The large, pleasant rooms are spacious enough to accommodate all of Mom's support people – family and friends.

Our nurses have decades of experience in maternity nursing. Many of our nurses have had their own children at the PBMC Birthing Center!

We also offer hydrotherapy and waterbirthing. Hydrotherapy utilizes the soothing properties of warm water immersion for the laboring mother. The Birthing Center has an Aqua-Eez pool, which we call the birthing tub. It’s easy to get in and out of and provides comfortable leaning positions.

You can choose to have a waterbirth in the tub, or simply use it during labor to help ease discomfort and anxiety. A body in water weighs only a fraction of what it does out of water, which decreases tension, increases oxytocin and endorphins and creates a euphoric effect.

A beautiful private room is available with a jacuzzi tub for the laboring woman to soak in if she desires and it is medically approved.

Of course, at the Birthing Center we offer a full spectrum of options to manage pain and discomfort in order to make this life changing experience as joyful and comfortable as possible.
