Penobscot Bay Medical Center (PBMC) is a 109-bed, full-service community hospital overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay in Rockport, Maine, offering inpatient and outpatient care; diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services; patient and community education; and a full-range of specialty services through the Emergency Department, Special Care Unit, Surgical Services Department, Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, and the Psychiatric Addiction & Recovery Center.

PBMC provides diagnostic, treatment and support services that meet special community needs through Mid-Coast Speech & Hearing, Choice Skyward substance abuse counseling and Health Connections occupational medicine.

With a Medical Staff of more than 85 physicians, PBMC offers a breadth of specialty and sub-specialty services.  More than 95 percent of our Medical Staff members are board-certified in their practice specialty.
