News Release
4/6/2006
Matters of special concern to older adults will be the subject of "Elder Law Topics," an educational program to be offered by Quarry Hill Retirement Community and Camden Public Library on Wednesday, April 26, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., at the library.
Local elder law attorney David Glasser will lead a wide-ranging discussion with emphasis on prudent financial strategies, asset protection, and life-care planning. Light refreshments will be served.
The presentation is the third of four programs scheduled for late winter and spring as part of Quarry Hill's ongoing Adventures in Living Well (ALW) series. "Container Gardening with Herbs for Healing and Cooking," to be held May 24 in the Independent Dining Room at Quarry Hill, will conclude the winter/spring series; the summer lineup will begin in June. Details about upcoming ALW programs are available at www.quarryhill.org, under "Things to Do." All Adventures in Living Well programs are free and open to adults age 55 and older. Reservations are required; please call 230-6114 to register. For free transportation to and from any ALW event, please call Coastal Trans' Door to Door service at 594-2742. Quarry Hill offers a full spectrum of retirement living choices, ranging from independent living through long-term nursing care. The organization is a member of Northeast Health, a nonprofit healthcare consortium dedicated to caring for people of all ages throughout midcoast Maine.
