Residents and staff of Quarry Hill Retirement Community gathered there on Oct. 29 to recognize Patricia Freyenhagen, LPN, of Union, upon her retirement as full-time manager of the Terraces, Quarry Hill's traditional assisted living program. She will continue serving the Terraces as a part-time nurse.

Freyenhagen's 32-year history with Quarry Hill began when she joined the nursing staff of the former Camden Health Care Center on the site now occupied by Quarry Hill. She took on unit-manager duties at Quarry Hill when it opened in 2002.

Following remarks by Quarry Hill Executive Director Bob McKeown, Freyenhagen characterized her years as unit manager as a privilege.

"I love you all," she told the gathering.
