The Grace Bible Fellowship Church of Rockland hosted a Family Fun Day to benefit the Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice Auxiliary Baby O Baby pediatric assistance program on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Gracie Burns, now 2 1/2 years old, was a Kno-Wal-Lin pediatric client from birth and a beneficiary of the Baby O Baby program. Her mother, Jennifer, contacted Kno-Wal-Lin Volunteer Coordinator, Joy Chamberlin, expressing a desire to give back for all that she and her daughter had received from Kno-Wal-Lin.

Along with Pastor Mike Ferland, of the Grace Bible Fellowship, Jennifer organized the Family Fun Day. Kno-Wal-Lin staff and volunteers were on hand to greet families and explain the program. Church members provided food, games and pony rides. It was a warm summer day, made all the warmer by the generosity of the church and its support of the Kno-Wal-Lin.

Baby O Baby provides items and services not covered by insurance for Kno-Wal-Lin’s youngest patients from newborn to age 17, ranging from diapers to nebulizers and gas money for trips to distant hospitals and doctors from Bangor to Boston. For more information, please contact Joy Chamberlin at 594-9561.
