Free Carotid Artery Screening:
Learn About the Most Common Cause of Stroke

 

Learn about symptoms, treatment options and what you can do to prevent the most common cause of stroke. Attend a free ultrasound screening for Carotid Artery Disease on Tuesday, August 21 from 1-4 pm administered by Dr. Julie White, vascular and general surgeon at Pen Bay Healthcare.

Carotid Artery disease is the most common cause of stroke. When this disease is detected early, stroke can be prevented. See your doctor. Discuss lifestyle changes. Consider getting an ultrasound exam. A few small steps may save your life.

The screening will be at the Picker Family Resource Center, located on the Pen Bay campus. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Call us today to schedule your pain-free screening at 593-5744.
